On yesterday's cruise, we were in the right place at the right time for a small heron!
Cruising close to ‘ntaliani’ (a traditional fishing method) we saw a little egret trapped in net that fishermen use to keep birds away. The bird was struggling to escape, without success. Thinking that the bird will die if we don’t do something, Vasilis got the dinghy and headed towards there. After removing the heron from the net, he returned to the boat with him. The bird was tired and scared, but well in his health, so we left it on the nearby islet and we continued our cruise enjoying dolphins, turtles and beautiful dives.
