SPUR

Spur was found in our way the most appropriate moment because as its meaning implies, it has been for us the motivation, the trigger, the stimulus to hoist our anchors and set sails for new adventures.
Spur is a corten steel, 47.5 feet, double chine, cutter rigged sloop, with a spoon bow and vertical transom at the water line, retrousse above the boarding platform. It was built in Bristol in 1998 as a live aboard and in 2000 a passage to the Mediterranean was undertaken with final destination the Greek waters, specifically the Ionian Sea, where we found it.
Spur is massively constructed, robust in every respect and capable of undertaking worldwide voyaging. Exactly what we need!
The self draining, three quarter aft cockpit provides access below via a sliding hatch and companion way. The forward end of the cockpit and the access hatch are protected by fixed spray screen. Its interior is large and pretty comfortable, with efficient use of space and storage.  There are 2 cabins (one forward, one aft), large saloon, galley, navigation station and shower compartment. The 8 port lights in the hull, 4 port lights in the topsides and 3 head hatches provide natural light and good ventilation.
It is equipped with all the safety and navigation equipment, GPS plotter, sonar, radar, AIS, SSB and VHF radio, NAVTEX, while the sail wardrobe consists of the following: Genoa No1, Staysail, Mainsail, Spinnaker, Double head sails, Storm mainsail, Storm jib, Spare mainsail, Spare genoa and Spare jib.
